Gender-neutral language with children: how and why?
How does language affect children, and how can we communicate in a way that is as supportive as possible? To address this issue, Erwachsenenbildung SteinEgerta is offering a course aimed at raising awareness of the language we use with children, without unconsciously perpetuating role models.
In course 26F-03B03, participants learn how language influences children and how gender-sensitive communication can be implemented in everyday life. Asha Ospelt-Riederer presents studies, analyses texts and children's books, and gives practical tips for parents, teachers, childminders and educators. After the lecture, there will be time for discussion and questions for the expert.
Children are welcome and will be looked after if necessary.
